Able Seaman
Reporting to:
The Able Seaman reports to the Watch Officer and the Boatswain, as applicable.
Backup:
The Chief Mate will approve a suitable backup arrangement for periods of absence.
Authority:
To give recommendations and suggestions to officers, ratings and other persons on board in pursuance of his duties.
Qualifications:
STCW 2020 Reg. A- II/5, valid health certificate,all certificates STCW 2020 as applicable.
Able Seaman
He is repsonsible for carrying out deck maintenance tasks, standing watches on the navigating bridge and monitoring cargo operations and tallying cargo as instructed by the Boatswain or Watch Officer
