Oiler

Reporting to:

The Oiler reports to the Chief, Second or Watch Engineer as applicable.

Backup:

The Chief Engineer will approve a suitable backup arrangement for periods of absence.

Authority:

To give recommendations and suggestions to officers, ratings and other persons on board in pursuance of his duties.

Qualifications:

STCW 2020 Reg. A-III/4, valid health certificate,all certificates STCW 2020 as applicable.

He is repsonsible for carrying out engine maintenance and operational tasks including sea and port watches.
